What do I need to do before I attend a practice? If this is your first time in our boat, you should notify a team member, read and sign a waiver of liability. What time should I arrive? The boat will leave the dock at the time practice is scheduled. We suggest that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled practice time. This will give you sufficient time to park, stretch, warm-up, and help get the boat ready to go. What should I wear for practices? Wear comfortable clothing that does not hold or absorb moisture and has a tighter fit rather than baggy. Since you will warm up quickly after the practice begins, you should be in layers. A thermal layer such as a Dri-fit or Polypropelene shirt is a good idea. Shorts or tights are best for lower body You will get wet so wear old sneakers, water sandals or aqua socks on your feet. You may want to bring a sweatshirt or jacket for after practice. Also, be sure to bring a bottle of water!!! Where do we race? We race on different rivers and lakes within a 5 hour radius. If it is a long distance, we will charter a bus |
Practice Schedule Tuesday 6:15 pm, stretching in the parking lot , be out on the water by 6:30pm 7:45 pm-8:00pm get off the water Thursday 6:15 pm stretching , be out on the water by 6:30pm 7:45 pm-8:00pm get off the water Saturday 6:45am stretching , be out on the water by 7:00 am 8:00am get off the water, people who want can do the free core workout at Sweat, the gym accross the street from 8 till 9 am. More paddle instructions from Alvin our coach for those who want it. |
Practices are held rain or shine. In the event of weather below 45 degrees or lighting
thunderstorms, we will not have practice. |
